It is helpful to understand the potential that Start with the Arts™ offers and conduct activities in a way that respects the lessons and educational objectives. Here are some ideas for getting the most from and incorporating Start with the Arts™ into your early childhood curriculum.

- How do these objectives fit your plan?
- Do you have the materials?
Once you have selected an arts activity:
- Decide which parts of the lesson that you will use.
- Adjust the lesson based on experience with the materials.
- Add concrete experiences to the lessons, when possible.
- Plan for children with disabilities.
